Payday loans are short-term, high-interest personal loans that are obtained without a credit inquiry being conducted. Usually, a borrower writes a personal check payable to the lender for the amount he or she wishes to borrow, plus a fee. Payday loans can be obtained very simply with fraudulent checks and forged identity documents. This type of fraud is not captured on a subscriber's credit report because payday loan institutions do not require a credit check. With the Payday Loan service, we provide the subscriber with an initial personalized report showing any payday loans or quick cash loans that were obtained using the subscriber’s social security number. After the initial report, the subscriber can choose to have their identity monitored on an ongoing basis and should their information on this report be changed or updated they will receive an alert.
